Sarwa Numan- Board Member

Sarwa Numan is a dedicated Community Engagement and Event Planner with the Asian American Health Coalition dba HOPE Clinic in Houston, Texas. With a career that began in 2006 at the USAID Iraq Mission, Sarwa has extensive experience in economic growth, stabilization, and nonprofit development.
 Since moving to the U.S., she has worked in refugee resettlement and has spent the last seven years at HOPE Clinic, serving diverse communities with compassion and cultural understanding.
Sarwa is proud to be the first Middle Eastern woman selected as a Women Leader of the World at Santa Clara University in California 2008. She has contributed to numerous articles on women’s rights and global women’s issues, and holds a degree in German Language from the College of Languages at the University of Baghdad.
She is passionate about empowering underserved communities, building cross-cultural connections, and advocating for women’s voices locally and globally.

Salah Kaspo – Board Member 

Salah Kaspo brings over two decades of experience as a licensed real estate agent in Houston, with expertise spanning both residential and commercial properties. Known for his personalized and trustworthy approach, he has built a career on helping clients navigate important decisions with confidence and clarity.
Since relocating to Houston in 1983, Mr. Kaspo has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit. He founded the city’s first full-service Greek restaurant and has since owned and operated a diverse range of businesses, including a dry cleaning service, travel agency, gas stations, and a construction company. These ventures have given him valuable insight into small business operations and the evolving needs of the local community.
Mr. Kaspo holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Baghdad. He is fluent in English, Arabic, Greek, and Assyrian—language skills that have helped him foster deep cross-cultural relationships and broaden his impact across communities. His multicultural background is a cornerstone of his approach to both business and public service.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Kaspo is passionate about art and music, which he credits as sources of inspiration and balance. Committed to community engagement and service, he is honored to contribute his experience and perspective to the board, supporting the organization’s mission and long-term success.
